Ephemerals: Egg Tooth

(feature photo via: soundcloud)

With the rise of Vinyl sales ever increasing, Egg Tooth by London based soul family Ephemerals is a staple to add to your collection. Hints of psychedelia, jazz, afrobeat, tied in with orchestral arrangements and brightening lyrics raise the corners of your mouth, close your eyes and face the sun.

Like all supergroups, Ephemerals are made up of members from bands all over: Hannah Williams and The Tastemakers, Marvellous, Keke Moroko, Kalakuta Millionaires and Gene Dudley Group and of course members were invited through being life long friends since their university days. Not only do they give us great music,  they give us depth, history, they give us soul. You can hear it, each talent pooled from another group, bringing part of their sound to a new sound. Layers of genres, rhythms and melodies pasted onto each other creating a musical scrapbook that you want to share with everybody.

Ephemerals are playing @ Nells Jazz and Blues on 18/08/2017
