As 2017 slips by, the dreams of a Daft Punk Alive 17 tour remains just that, a dream. But what do we have to dance around our bedrooms to instead?
Get ready to sharpen your record needles because Parcels are giving us the sweetest modern soul sound waves, continuing this years lucky streak in memorable jams that you’ll tell your kids about.
They were probably “that band” you saw early one afternoon at your favourite festival (this year the group have traveled over 46,056 miles playing shows) but as the night / weekend progressed, you lost your festival timetable, phone, wallet and definitely not pride (okay maybe a little bit of your pride) and that band you saw at 3pm on a Saturday were now a faded 1hr in your memory. But fear not, we have them and they are seemingly going to be sticking around for quite some time.
Parcels is made up of Patrick Hetherington, Louie Swain, Noah Hill, Anatole Serret and Jules Crommelin all meeting in high school in NSW. Before venturing to Berlin to nest, these dreamboats now seemingly have it covered and are flying the modern soul flag high and mighty. ‘Overnight’ has been nurtured by none other than Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo. So we get our dose of french disco magic. With guidance from Daft Punk and Berlin as their playground, these guys are pretty set, we can’t wait for these guys to continue giving us more.
They don’t stop! Catch parcels at a city near you:
